Overhead Door Technician

About the Position & Duties

Our door technicians are critical to the success of the company, and so, are highly-valued members of the team. Like South Country Doors, this position is based out of Fort Macleod, but service jobs can range all over Western Canada.

• Schedule: 10-Hour Shift
• Experience: Technician: 1 year (Preferred)
• Education: Secondary School (Preferred)
• Licence: Alberta Drivers License (Required)
• Work remotely: No

Duties can include, but are not limited to:

• Installation and repair of both commercial and residential overhead doors
• Preparing materials for each job, including completing work orders and other paperwork
• Demonstrating teamwork to ensure installation / repair efficiencies
• Maintain inventory records for equipment and supplies
• Travel to job sites which may include overnight trips
• Future mentorship of apprentices

Ideal Applicant Requirements

• Overhead door, construction, or other trade experience is an asset. However, if you’re mechanically inclined with relevant technical skills, we want to hear from you!
• Strong work ethic, detail-oriented, and with the ability to work in a team environment
• Willingness to learn and improve as multiple training opportunities are provided
• A valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license, with a clean driving record
• Physically able to lift up to 75 pounds
• Any relevant safety training and certificates are an asset
